Florida is preparing for another worrying year of wildfires. The tropical US state is not a stranger to wildfires at any point in the year but they definitely pick up in late winter and early spring.
The Northeast of Florida has already experienced a few wildfires this year like the 5+ acre patch of smoldering earth in Bryceville from a fire earlier in the week.
Many rural Floridians are taking extra precautions around their property. The Florida forest service recommends 30 feet of space between flammable brush and any buildings.
